Memphis Day

During a recent conversation with friends I realized that I had never seen the duck mar5ch at the Peabody hotel. Kinda crazy considering I've liv3ed in Me phis half my life. With the bf being new in town seeing the duck march turned into we should spend a tourist day around town, and thus the Memphis day concept was born. Since the bf and I had both had long,. frustrating weeks at work we decided to let ourselves sleep in before heading out on our adventure. After a quick stop by the pink door so I could get the bf opinion on the fall looks and so he could see the store for amusement we went to Brother Junipers for breakfast.

Young at Art

After writing the foodie post I had to go back through all of my posts and make sure I hadn't written the same thing before, kinda crazy that I hadn't. Another thing I haven't blogged about is my membership at The Dixon Gallery and Gardens through young at art. I LOVE young at art.
Memberships ate $100 for singles and $150 for couples. Regardless of my romantic status I have always gotten a couples membership and brought various guests to events. . Young at art membership covers membership to the Dixon for the year, which means fee entry to the exhibits, a discount in the awesome gift shop and special member pricing for events. Additionally, the Dixon throws several parties throughout the year that are included in young at art: art on tap is a beer tasting that is always the weekend after Labor Day, in November the is a fall party, and another party in the spring and then artini in the summer. Me at the past Artini with the decor cake, it was on my birthday: There are …

Since just for lunch is very much a ladies who lunch type of place I put together a preppy outfit that other friends said looked very PTA. I just fell in love with the pink elephant fabric when I saw it on etsy and knew it had to be skirt number five I handmade. I apparently really like elephants because very little digging turned up these accessories.
You could call this a high-low outfit as it's a mix of good bargins and some investment pieces. Head to toe the outfit is: Headband off etsy - a free gift when I bought lilly headbands Earrings Betsy Johnson $10 off eBay Cardigan is a boutique label from a local consignment shop $35 Silk blouse ($68 from the preppy outlet), necklace($34 on sale at the pink door in March) and watch ($20 for two wristbands, one watch piece) are lilly pulitzer Bangle is Kenneth Kay lane $135 off ebay, a little pricey for costume jewelry but I…
