Leggings - They Are Not Pants

It has suddenly occurred to me that although I am strongly against the movement of wearing leggings as pants I have never given an in depth reason behind my stance and this is long overdue. So here we go . . .
First, lets discuss what leggings are. Leggings are skin tight leg material typically made of a cotton / spandex combination. Your basic legging has very similar properties and looks like long underwear, yes underwear; although leggings tend to be a bit thicker, but depending on the season they can run just as thin. You also see leggings made of nylon and Lycra that strongly resemble tights, in fact there is a very blurry line between footless rights vs leggings but in general leggings are thicker and sturdier than tights are are absolutely not see through. Lately you see leggings made of just about anything to create a variety of fashion options. I happen to have a pair of lace leggings, I certainly hope no one would ever confuse those as pants. Afternoon Tea

I really wish being a lady who lunches was a paid gig because its a job I would totally take. Sadly it's not so I'm left with limiting my LWL type activities to Saturdays - Saturdays where I don't have a communitity service project or football game to attend mind you.
One of the ways I like to be a fake LWL is by going to afternoon tea. A pet peeve of mine is when it's referred to as high tea yet even the fanciest of restaurants do this, grr. Back in August when Shaun and I had our Memphis Day we did tea at the Peabody and it was marvelous. I have since gone back with my family and they seemed to enjoy the experience but did not like all of the items, smh!
In September I went…

Back to Basics

I wrote this a few weeks ago and forgot to post, whatever. At least now I can give a better reflection. When multiple people who provide beauty services to you say you are in need of a facial it's probably time to listen. And the timing is really good with my corporate adventure coming up next week where I'll be meeting my boss and entire department face to face for the first time. So when the lady who does my laser hair removal suggested a few weeks ago I come in for an extraction I finally gave in and said ok. I'm not stranger to a nice spa facial but this was my first time getting one out of "necessity" rather than a desire to be pampered. For a beauty standpoint, medical spa facials are the way to go - they are way cheaper and do a better job of actually addressing the issues. My past facial was a Collierville Medical Solutions, cost $50 and lasted about 40 minutes.
Like most facials I was cleansed and scrubbed. Usually  I am given more of a mud mask for a…
