Jamberry Nail Review

Jamberry nails have been quite the popular item these days, it's hard to find someone that hasn't seen them or been invited to a party. But what is the big deal anyway? I'm such a sucker for hype so of course I had to give them a try.
I'll be honest - I don't like all the crazy prints on nails, nor do I like different nails looking different - these seem to be two very big reasons people get Jamberry nails so the biggest selling point doesn't work for me.
I do how ever like French nail, and occasionally glitter but damn I hate how glitter polish has to essentially be scrapped off. So when I saw both of the options in the Jamberry catalogue I decided to finally break down and give them a try. Each sheet of nails is said to be enough for 2 manicures, 2 pedicures and 4 accent nails and cost $15, or you can get buy 3 get one which is what I did, with tax and shipping its about $13.50 per sheet.
For my first application I decided a solid would be better than worryin…

Lilly for Target Backup Plan

Unless you've been living under a rock you are well aware that next month Target is releasing a designer collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer. This collaboration has been widely covered in social media so I'm not going to waste time re-hashing stuff here. I do however want to talk about having a backup plan.
The time of the online release has not been announced but in my dream world at midnight April 19th I would hop online, fill my cart with my wish list and check out. I'd then get a good nights sleep and breeze into my neighborhood target the next am to shop in store. But it seems like a lot of people are planning to shop this collection, people who have never mentioned the name Lilly Pulitzer are chomping at the bit to buy $38 shift dresses - competition will be stiff! In reality I will stalk the website Saturday night / Sunday morning, watch it crash yet items sell out at the same time, get a few hours of sleep, be at target at opening and run like a crazy lady to grab th…

$40 date: All you can eat meat

It's been awhile but I have a $40 date idea for y'all.
Recently Shaun and I attended a Yelp event at Tanoor Grill. It was delicious and we had an awesome time.
The Yelp group
In fact, we enjoyed it so much we went on Valentine's day. Again super yum but stuffing oneself with meat is perhaps not the most romantic activity. Plus eating giant meals before bedtime is not a great idea so our interest was very peaked to check out lunch and a few weeks later we did.
Regardless of the time of day your visit to Tanoor the meal starts with appetizers, which are also unlimited:

Salad Hummus  Baba ganush  Pita bread  Roasted potatoes
Then the meat parade begins!

Sirloin  Boneless Chicken  Roasted Chicken  Kabob  Stuff Pita
At dinner there is also ribeye, filet and lamb but no stuff pita. But trust me, the lunch meat offerings are plenty! Make sure you request their sauces - garlic, spicy and lemon dill. It's fun to try the different meats in each and find your favorite combo.
Just when yo…
