Tulle La La July 2016

The month is winding down which means it's time for my final monthly subscription box for July - Tulle La La

Only two more months of receiving this fun box before I'm a Mrs. !

Allure Beauty Box Brides Edition

With three months to go before the wedding I'm realizing I need to settle on a skin care routine - the last thing I need is introducing something new and getting a bad reaction right before the most photographed day of my life which lead me to purchase the Brides edition of the Allure Beauty Box.
I debated for over a month if it was worth the $49.99 cost to me but I realized it contained several products I was looking to get anyway I decided to go ahead and take the plunge.
Here's my unboxing:
Not everything is a home run or stuff I would have bought but overall it's good stuff.
I'm also starting to focus on my "bridal look" so I decided to do my makeup just using products in the Brides box and products in the Julep "I Totally Do" box.
Here's the unboxing of that one (which by the way was free for subscribing for at least one month)
Here's my finished look:

Julep Maven Welcome Box

In my quest for the perfect nail polish color I have decided to give Julep a try.
The Julep Maven box is $24.99 a month and includes three products selected for me based on my beauty profile. The really cool part is that mavens get a preview of their box and have the option of swapping out products.
Mavens also get a welcome box for FREE! To see my welcome box check out my video:

I used code HITCHED to get the "I totally do" box since bridal beauty looks is my big focus right now. Use the link below and enter the promo code to get your box.

The Mrs Box

Happy birthday to me! I'm pretty awful about picking my own gifts and this year was no exception because my fiancé would have NEVER bought me what I wanted on his own - The Mrs Box.

The Mrs Box is a tiny, handmade, vintage velvet ring box. Here it is next to a standard size ring box:

When I receive mine I did and unboxing and discussed what makes this such a special item, check it out:
I can't wait to see how our photographer uses it in the detail pictures!

Calligraphy Class Review

July is pretty much going to be the month of classes for me - but it's all fun stuff! I started off with a calligraphy class. Learning calligraphy has interested me for a while now but I couldn't justify the cost of an over $100 class offered in town but when a local store offered one for $60 right around the time my wedding invitations came in I took it as a sign it was time to learn.
The class was offered on a Saturday morning at Falling Into Place on broad avenue. The $60 (plus tax) class fee cover 2 hours of instruction, an alphabet guide, practice sheets, a nib holder, three nibs and three inks.

Although I am glad to have learned the basics if I had to do it again I'd cough up the extra funds for a different class.
For starters there were 13 attendees but the class was only set up for 12, both the instructor and store owner were very unapologetic to the 13th lady to arrive, who had to borrow materials from other ladies during the class and didn't get supplies to t…

Ipsy Glam Bag July 2016

This month marks my 3rd Ipsy Bag.

This bag was not my favorite but it did include one item I really like so it's still worth it, that's the great thing about it only costing $10!
Here's my unbagging video:
