Go WILD, Y'all

I'm writing this post with a serious case of the Mondays as I'm recovering from Go Wild this past week. Go Wild is the annual conference run by the Wild for Planners group and it is so much fun! This year's conference was in Nashville and while there is was announced that 2018 will be in Austin, TX. In addition to bringing planner enthusiasts together this event also presents the opportunity to hear from great speakers, meet planner  / planner goodies suppliers and the part that people to notice the most - awesome swag.   I first found out about the group last year when some planner girls I followed posted on instagram about the conference. To an outsider it looks like oh fun, planner girls gathering and getting tons of swag - I want to go! But the reality is it's so much for than that and to be perfectly honest if you're only interested in the swag you'd be better off staying home and going on a shopping spree. Since everyone wants to know the most though wha…

Victoria Beckham for Target Looks

Earlier this month the much anticipated Victoria Beckham collection for Target dropped and I was so excited to pick up some fabulous pieces to add to my wardrobe. I was super impressed with the quality of the collection and while some pieces are what I would consider seasonal / trendy others have potential to become permanent staples in my wardrobe. For quality - the weight of the materials. the stitching and the pattern matching are things you don't typically see at target - in value priced clothing patterns don't usually match up at the seems but I noticed on my stripped dress at the seems the stripes match up perfectly- this is attention to detail folks! My only complaint is that several of the pieces do use polyester and are thicker materials and I wonder if the target people told VB how warm it gets in America - we're already in the mid-80s in Memphis this week. April has been a crazy month and I purchased 15 clothing pieces from the collection so I haven't been …

Sephora Play April 2017

This month's Sephora Play box featured some of the top selling Sephora products, here's what's inside:

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
I currently use this primer and it helps my foundation go on smooth and keeps my face from getting too oily during the day. It's light weight and has no scent and one tube lasts a really long time - I bought mine before my wedding and that was six months ago.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL eyeliner
The Make Up For Ever brand is very popular at Sephora and very nice quality products. This eyeliner doesn't smudge and goes on smooth.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream
This is a primer / moisturizer combo and I really like the way it feels - very light weight and makes my skin feel silky

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate
This says it's an "intense exfoliator" but I found it to be very fine. The paste is ather think and a yucky green color with a heavy plant scent, but hey if it works who cares what it looks like.

Sephora Waterproof …

Blackhead Clearing DIY

Today I'm sharing something I haven't done in a while - a crazy beauty review! Lately I've seen a lot of buzz about blackhead removing masks and while you can buy them on Amazon for about $9.99 a tube I've seen a lot of people post a super easy diy - Elmer's glue and active charcoal power. Since I already had the charcoal from previous diys and a bottle of glue is $0.99 I decided hey, why not give it a try! So I poured so glue into a plastic bowl from the dollar tree and empties 5 charcoal capsules into the glue. I stirred until it was fully blended and then used the little soon to spread onto my face - for me I only did the areas where I actually have blackheads because I didn't want to get it stuck in my hair.

So I actually wound up doing this twice - the first time I thought the glue was dry but apparently it was not and although I got out a bunch of blackheads it was a mess! So, I decided since the glue takes FOREVER to dry just to spread it on again and …

Wardrobe Wednesday - What I wore to Memphis Fashion Week

I must admit I'm pretty proud of the outfits I put together for Memphis Fashion Week so I figured they deserved a blog post of their own. I definitely feel like spending four day around fashion and really trying to put my most stylish foot forward set me on track to up my fashion game this year, plus the VBxTarget collection released right after so that helped too (I'll have a post on that soon). Overall though these four outfits were a good example of mixing what I already owned with new and restyling some existing pieces in new ways.
Earrings: Kate Spade - these are out but there's always cute ones on sale Necklace: Anthropologie (this is from 2013) Top: Nicole by Nicole Miller
To start of the events I wore my most casual outfit to the kickoff event. I was under the mis-impression that Nicole Miller (the headliner designer for MFW 2017) would be there so I wore a Nicole by Nicole Miller top. It's actually off the shoulders but got pulled up a little from me razing m…

Ipsy Glam Bag April 2017

OMG, Ipsy finally has a cute bag for the month!
Seriously, this month's coral ticket design bag is super cute and would make a fun little clutch for a night out at a festival or fair.
The items I received this month weren't terrible either. Here's what's inside my bag and my thoughts on each product:
OFRA Cosmetics Peach Blush $12 Everything I've received from this company in my Ipsy bad is a full-sized product (nice)! However they need to be in a refillable palette so that may not be your thing but I just found mine recently so this offends me less. This is overall a nice shade so I'll add it to my palette.
Hanalei Aloe Soothing Gel $30 This is a little more lightweight than the aloe gel you can get in a giant bottle at CVS but I'm skeptical yet if that makes it worth $30 for a jar. We're going to the beach in May so the timing is good and I'm sure I'll use the whole sample.
No Poreblem Primer $18 This is a nice, lightweight primer and has a …

Memphis Fashion Week 2017 Emerging Designers Part 2

Happy Monday! Today I have my last MFW coverage post to share with y'all featuring the singles and mini collections.

The singles collection features designers who have made one or two pieces each , this collection was fun because it was cool to see a variety of different styles. Who knew Memphis had so many designers?
