Loft Plus Size In Store Launch

Loft recently launched the plus size collection size 16 to 26 in 50 stores across the US. Although I will make a few exceptions I really prefer to shop in person to try on items so I was very excited to hear my local store would be one of the 50 locations offering plus sizes. The Carriage Crossing location in Collierville, TN is the only location in the entire state to feature the collection in store and I was on hand to celebrate in full force at the recent launch party.

The team at Loft Carriage Crossing is so sweet and set up the sweetest in-store celebration.

Cupcakes by Buttercup brought the A game with the sweets - these are so moist and tasty!

Ehblooms provided the most beautiful bouquets in the perfect colors to celebrate fall fashion

Sarah Howard with Limelife provided makeovers which was really fun. This was my first time experiencing this makeup line and I loved the pigmentation of the eye shadows - here's my finished look:

But of course we were all there for some fabulous fashion!

I love this utility jacket and hw great Claire looks in it.

Katherine rocking the wrap top and gray skinny pants

This pink top was a crowd pleaser on everyone who tried it - love it with the navy pants on this sweet lady.

For my day of look I had to go with the pretty floral top - I love that florals are a thing for this fall. I went with the skinny pant as I've been in need of a new pair. Loft is calling these leggings but they are thicker and more structured than a typical legging and have a seam down the middle. Y'all know I'm SUPER picky about what I will consider an appropriate pant and what I will not so I am pleased to report these passed the test.

I also took home this Navy look because well, I love navy and was in need of a new navy blazer and couldn't resist the ruffle trimmed dress. When I posted this picture several of yall called this outfit a suit but they are separates and I don't think Loft intended them to go together. One of my favorite things about the collection is there are a lot of great mix and match pieces.

The launch party was so much fun but unfortunately I just didn't get to take everyone's picture in their fabulous finds so I am so sorry if I missed you but I enjoyed meeting every single lady in attendance. I am super passionate about feeling fabulous through fashion and I hope that everyone who came out is feeling amazing in the latest Loft styles.

Sephora Play April 2017

This month's Sephora Play box featured some of the top selling Sephora products, here's what's inside:

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
I currently use this primer and it helps my foundation go on smooth and keeps my face from getting too oily during the day. It's light weight and has no scent and one tube lasts a really long time - I bought mine before my wedding and that was six months ago.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL eyeliner
The Make Up For Ever brand is very popular at Sephora and very nice quality products. This eyeliner doesn't smudge and goes on smooth.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream
This is a primer / moisturizer combo and I really like the way it feels - very light weight and makes my skin feel silky

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate
This says it's an "intense exfoliator" but I found it to be very fine. The paste is ather think and a yucky green color with a heavy plant scent, but hey if it works who cares what it looks like.

Memphis Fashion Week 2017 Emerging Designers

The last night of Memphis Fashion Week is the favorite night for many local fashionistas because it shows off what is up and coming in our city. Once again I was able to grab a great seat and see the pieces up close.

First up for the evening was two time previous winner Tiena. I think it's easy to see why she's won twice before - just wow on these beautiful designs!

I love the model's expression here - it's like she just loves wearing this so much she can't contain it.

I love all of it but the yellow ruffle dress has to be my favorite, it's not a color I would typically be drawn to but there's something so nice about it!
Next up was the teen collection, these pieces were designed by beautiful young ladies all under 20. Once again, I am a complete and total life slacker. Seriously - I was blown away by how talented these girls are:

Mommy Lhey Little Bits Box April 2017

Yesterday my 2nd Little Bits Box arrived and I am so in love! One thing I think is really great about this subscription is that there's the option to pre-order a month at a time (it's $5 more than subscribing) and there's any option to cancel without having to give two month's notice - this is great if a particular month's theme just isn't for you or life happens and you need to take a break. The April theme is "Believe in Magic" and features whimsical creatures such as fairies and unicorns. Let's take a look inside: I know that's a lot to look at so I'll break down the items for you. First up is the sticker sheets - each box comes with eight sheets and they are very high quality stickers and able to be used in a variety of planners:
I can't imagine this will be any every month item but in March we received pocket size travelers notebooks and this month we received personal size. These notebooks are so cute and I love the matching …

Memphis Fashion Week 2017 Kickoff Event

Last night Memphis Fashion Week started with a kickoff event at The Lab. MFW is run by Memphis Fashion Design Network and The Lab is the office / creative space for Memphis designers. Read more about it here . The Kickoff Party featured products from designers participating in this week's event and offered fashionistas the opportunity to meet the designers and shop their wares. Although there were many beautiful pieces on hand I decided to wait on purchases but did go home and follow some of the favorites I saw on social media so I can keep up with them for the future. I've been setting aside most of my fashion money for the past two months to shop the Victoria Beckham collection at Target that's being released on Sunday - it's a big week for fashion! Some of my favorite fashions from the event: Tiena Gwin  Sheila J Designs This dress is reversible - how fun!  Beg and Borrow
Accessories I loved but didn't get a chance to photograph were Brave Design, a local jewelry d…
