Big Bow Blouse Three Way Style

Big Bow Blouse Three Way Style

I like big bows and I cannot lie, which is why this fun statement blouse os perfect for me. I’ve styled it several ways over the past year but never done it as part of a three way style so I wanted to share how fun this blouse is to style with so current looks.

My first look is with a skirt for afternoon tea. You can wear this look for any fun event imo but since afternoon tea is such a girly thing to do I thought it called for a real girly look. I love pastels so I personally am a fan of mixing hot pink with pastels but there’s plenty of ways to have fun with color with this styling. I feel like I could wear this top with most of the skirts in my closet.

My skirt is from last year but I have some similar looks linked.

Of course, not everyone likes over the top feminine looks. Shoot, I’m very much a girly girl and sometimes I prefer a more sleek look. Everything goes with black pants so I knew that pairing this top with black would be an easy way to style it but I really love it with black faux leather pants. I think the two fabrics balance each other out nicely.

Last year I styled this top with black pants and added a blazer, you can see that look here . I called it a “winter look” but honestly it’s because I have really flabby arms and I get embarrassed by them. Looking back, it was just too much fabric and it didn’t really allow the top to be the statement piece that it is. I like this year’s look much better! My arms are just as flabby, I’ve just come to realize there’s more important things in life to care about.

My last look is pink on pink and it was also a step outside my comfort zone. My lower tummy is something I’m also super self conscious about and post surgery it hangs a little lower than it did a year ago. Because this top is a little shorter than I prefer my natural inclination is to tuck it into a flowy skirt. And while I do think it would look great with a solid pink skirt, these three way styles are about providing inspiration for different looks and to push myself to style things differently. It’s freezing right now, lower tummy be damned but a pant look is just practical too! I did pair this with a pink skirt last year so if you’re curious you can see that look here.

I hope this post has inspired you to play around with the pieces in your closet to come up with different looks and to not be afraid of buying a fun statement piece.
