My closet is a time capsule of target designer collaborations. While over the years I have regrettably had to purge pieces that no longer fit I still have pieces from designers like Victoria Beckham, Anna Sui, Vineyard Vines LoveShackFancy, and of course the infamous Lilly for Target collection. So of course I was thrilled to hear the spring 2022 collaboration is Stoney Clover Lane x Target. I am an existing Stoney Clover Lane fan (read my brand review here) so I am excited to score pieces in the aesthetic for a fraction of the price. (Example: SCL mini pouches are $58 while SCL x Target mini pouches are $10).
Not only are target designer collections a great way to get the look for less but they (since 2015) offer plus sizes in the clothing items; which is typically something the collaborating brand does not offer including Stoney Clover Lane. While Stoney Clover Lane typically does not offer clothing they have in the past offered branded tees and sweatshirts and limited collabs of terry lounge wear but these pieces all maxed out at size 16. Stoney Clover Lane x Target will not only offer branded sweatshirts and a few terry pieces but will include several dresses and casual warm weather items and a lot of swim wear in their bright colors and prints.

In addition to expanding clothing beyond typical SCL offerings, Stoney Clover Lane x Target features a wide variety of beachy products with everything from a pretty pink cooler to a portable speaker. As a lady who loves a matching moment I love the idea of a float that coordinates with my swimsuit which coordinates with our beach umbrella.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Stoney Clover Lane collection without pouches and patches. In addition to offering individual letters to design your own bag Stoney Clover Lane x Target features several pre-patched items and five sets of patches with the words beach, travel, swim, glam and stuff. These are all words you will very commonly see people choose to patch on their original Stoney Clover Lane items. Pouches are available very similar to popular Stoney Clover Lane silhouettes – duffles, backpacks, totes, fanny packs, large pouches, small pouches and mini pouches. The colors are similar to the most popular SCL colors with a light and dark pink, yellow, bright green, soft blue and purple. Unlike original SCL pieces not every silhouette is available in every color and print but this collection does offer a pretty big variety. The prints and patches for Stoney Clover Lane x Target are similar to last year’s Pastel Picnic and Endless Summer collections.

With an already loyal fan base and Stoney Clover Lane setting a trend in patched products and inspiring similar items from other brands this collection is sure to be a sell out. In the past my strategy has been to shop online while waiting for the store to open but it looks like the entire collection will be online with only select products in store. In store availability is currently only showing for beauty items and should update for everything else once the collection launches. I have provided links to each product I have shown here as my favorites to make it easy for you to find them on the target site. If you are serious about shopping this collection I recommend staying awake for when everything will hit the website at 2am CST on April 2nd.
