Wedding Wednesday – Amateurs

I’m skipping ahead a bit on the wedding day timeline because since I first looked though all of our photos I’ve been looking forward to sharing these in particular. When making our list of must have photos I asked for a picture of each couple during our anniversary dance thinking it would be nice one day to look back and remember who was there. The anniversary dance for those of you not familiar is when the newly married couple asks all the married couples to join them on the dance floor and then the MC asks couples to leave the dance floor if they’ve been married less than a certain time frame (we did 5 year increments) until the longest married couple is the last couple remaining.
When I looked at these photos from this special dance I was blown away by what I saw and what they captured. There’s s saying “oh, to be young and in love” and while there’s excitement with young love our family and friends have shown us how love intensifies with time and life experience. These pictures of our family and friends are some of our favorites from the wedding day because they show the joy, the tenderness, the passion and the bond that is marriage.
I’ve said it before but looking at these pictures reminds me that the wedding day is far from the best day ever. Of course Shaun and I are in love and we have plenty of pictures from our wedding day that have captured this but these pictures here show us that when it comes to this marriage thing we’re total amateurs.

Not our best pic but sharing this moment with so many great couples is such a great memory. Also, I love how you can see Shaun’s parents in the background as a reminder of the future we can look forward to.
