It’s day four of my trip and tonight will be my last night of sleeping (or trying to sleep) in a big ,empty hotel bed so I guess you could say I’m missing my husband a little bit. Last weekend we had a really fun date night with our monthly Date Box.
Date Box is a subscription service that sends the tools for a monthly date night in to your home for $39.95 a month. We have received dates for things such as painting, a spa night and escape room; This month’s date provided us a fun night of cocktails and conversation. Each box comes with an activity, a snack , conversation starters and a spotify playlist. Most of the dates are things that could be repeated and this date is definitely something we’ll do again.
This month’s box came with recipes for several cocktails and mocktails, a cocktail shaker, jigger and stirrer to make out cocktails, coasters with conversation starters and the card game Rook.
Although it wasn’t one of the recipes included we made some fun watermelon cocktails. The playlist had some great 50s love songs and the conversation starters provoked some really great conversation – some things we already knew about each other but some we didn’t as well. Between making cocktails, playing cards and conversation I’d say we spent about two hours on our date.
This month’s date didn’t include a snack but since the date was cocktails I guess they figured a snack was not needed.
