Valentine Style with Ulla Popken

Valentine Style with Ulla Popken

I love theme dressing so this year I want to share holiday outfit ideas. I love pink and everything girly so it should come as no surprise that I love valentine outfits. However, you don’t have to dressy frilly and fussy to have fun with this theme. I’m sharing looks here that although festive are not over the top and are items you can wear beyond the holiday.

When you think of Valentine’s Day pink is no doubt the first color that comes to mind so my first look is a simple pink look. This hot pink sweater is a great piece that could be worn many ways but I’m keeping the look simple with jeans for a casual date look. I paired with a pink vest to give some fun color on color depth and to provide a layer of warmth that’s easy to move in. I think this would be the perfect outfit for an activity based date such as bowling or axe throwing (yes, it’s a thing).

Or course, pink is not for everyone, which is why I was really excited to see this leopard skirt in a peach color. I paired it with a love language tee and denim jacket to keep to look fun and balance out the volume of the skirt. I think this is the perfect outfit for a galentines night out or dinner date with your significant other.

Finally, if you’re ok with fully embracing the holiday spirit I recommend this heart tunic. The print reminds me of candy hearts and the colors give this top lots of pairing options. I’ve paired it with a silver skirt for a neutral winter look here and added a belt and heels to keep the look sophisticated. I think this top has sooo much potential – pair it with a yellow skirt for a unexpected quirky look, a pink tulle skirt for a full on sweet feminine feel or throw on a black moto jacket to balance out the sweetness of the print.

When I’m really excited about an event planning my outfit is one of the first things I do. I think picking a specific outfit to wear is a great way to make a date or girls night a little more special and I hope this post has given you some good inspiration for making your Valentine’s Day special this year.
