Feminine Trench Coat

Feminine Trench Coat

As everyone is busy cleaning out our closets I think it’s a great time to think about the wardrobe as a whole and the classic pieces that provide a good foundation. One such piece I was lacking until this month is a Trench Coat. While the outwear of choice of a movie spy the trench is a great option for us non-spies for spring and fall layering and can double as a raincoat.

The traditional tan colored trench looks pretty similar for men and women with most women’s trenches belted at the waist but I found myself wanting a more feminine look for this classic piece. When I saw this pink trench from Ulla Popken I knew it was perfect, not only is the shade of pink perfect but it has lace details on the cuffs and shoulder details.

While outerwear is more of a practical clothing need I think it can be really chic. I love when I find a piece that is fashionable AND functional. The weight of this trench is perfect for days when a coat would be too much but there’s still a little chill in the air. The cotton is sturdy enough for bad weather too and it’s fully lined so I stay dry underneath. Plus it has pockets, and you know any feminine piece that also has pockets is a winner!

I think pink goes with everything of course but I did add some pink accents to my look here. I’ve linked everything in my outfit below:
