La Bella Headband Style

La Bella Headband Style

Things have escalated a little bit since the last time I blogged about headbands in 2020. What started out as a fun way to occasionally accessorize has turned into something I wear almost daily. In my last headband post I talked about the difference between Lele Sadoughi headbands and inexpensive ones off amazon. At that time I had a small collection of pricey headbands I wore on repeat since they offered more comfort as someone who suffers from migraines. Since then a new headband brand has entered the market as a compromise between price and quality and offered me the same comfort- La Bella!

La Bella is a female owned brand started by former software engineer Laura Avakian. Laura took the idea of the top knot headband (side note – this design has been around long before Lele Sadoughi, they were called turban headbands back when I was in high school) and has played around with texture, prints and embellishments while offering a quality and comfortable product. La Bella offers headbands embellished with jewels, pearls and beads and non-embellished headbands in materials such as canvas, neoprene, silk, tweed and seersucker. I do find the natural stone styles to be a bit heavy so I tend to wear those only a few hours a time while the neoprene, silk and tweed styles are on frequent rotation at home for comfortable all day wear. The neoprene headbands are especially lightweight – I can barley feel them on to be honest – and provide a fun pop of color to an outfit.

La Bella headbands start at $28 for solid colored canvas and go up to $98 for jeweled styles which have individually sewn on rhinestones. La Bella has something for everyone’s budget and are often less than 1/2 the price of similar styles from Lele Sadoughi (who has been favoring higher price points lately). While I do reach for my jeweled ones the most frequently (I’m extra like that) I really enjoy having a variety of colors and prints to match my outfits.

Here are some of my favorite looks where my headband coordinated perfectly with my outfit:

Pool Days Blue & Yellow Canvas Jeweled
Beach Umbrella Jasper Beaded & Coral Canvas
Watermelon Pink & Green Jeweled Canvas

I know not everyone likes overly matchy looks or having large collections so here are headbands I would recommend to wear as a neutral with a variety of outfits if you are a less is more person.

Gardenia Ivory Floral Jacquard

Biscotti Gingham Lace

Crystal Dipped White Satin

Black and White Lace Gingham

Cream Shimmer Tweed

Midnight Black Neoprene

Midnight Shimmer Tweed

If you are a sports fan you can probably find a headband in your team’s colors as well. For the Memphis Tigers I wear Cobalt Neoprene and for Green Bay Packers either Ivy Green Neoprene or Merry Green Fire Agate. There are 22 neoprene colors available so chances are you can find at least one for your team too!

I hope this post has been helpful in showing you that you don’t have to spend a fortune to wear a cute headband that doesn’t hurt your head. My collection of La Bella headband is a combination of headbands I have purchased and ones Laura has sent to me to share when she has a new release. I never recommend you spend your money on something I am not willing to spend my money on.
